How does Autobomber Chieftain (non-Magic Find version) work in POE 3.23 Affliction League?
The primary mechanic that this entire build revolves around is the Cast When Stunned Support gem. This gem is linked to skills like Detonate Dead, Desecrate, and Enfeeble, and Cold Snap to deal the damage needed to kill low-health monsters while ensuring the character doesn't die.
In order to slay the tankier rare and unique mobs, this build relies on the Hinekora, Death's Fury ascendancy passive. This passive is what allows the build to achieve screen-wide explosions that clear every monster within the general vicinity.
The Warlock's Penance Mark is used to spawn enemy phantasms around isolated rare mobs so that the build can fish for procs from Hinekora, Death's Fury in the event that no smaller mobs are around to further improve the effectiveness of the explosions.
However, the build features a 100% chance to ignite alongside Defiled Forces so that whenever Hinekora, Death's Fury procs, the massive ignite deals on a monster can be infinitely sustained.
The most important part of this build is ensuring that monsters have a 100% chance to stun the character. This can be achieved by allocating The Agnostic and the Energy Shield Mastery node.
There are 3 main ways that this character builds defenses. If you have enough POE Currency, it will be easier to use these ways.
Due to the Valako, Storm's Embrace passive, it is only necessary to achieve 90% max fire resistance to apply the same cap to both lightning and cold resistance. A total of 15% max fire res is needed to reach the resistance cap. And this is obtained through Prismatic Skin, Barbarism, Rise of the Phoenix, and Purity of Fire.
Keep in mind that a level 23 Purity of Fire is needed to achieve a 5% max fire resistance from the gem. Another 20% increase from Champion of the Cause and its Reservation Mastery node will bring that value to a 6% max fire resistance from Purity of Fire alone.
Now, for the physical damage shifting, this build starts with the Cloak of Flame, which provides a 40% physical damage taken as fire that also applies to physical damage overtime effects.
The build runs a rare helmet that provides another 14% physical damage shift. A Watcher's Eye that gives 9% physical damage shift. And finally, a Lethal Pride that gives 10% physical damage shift by allocating Ancestral Knowledge and Expertise.
With these items alone, the build achieves a total of 79% physical damage taken from hits as fire damage. In order to reach the coveted 100% physical damage shift, the build uses a Pyroshock Clasp to convert another 30% of physical damage taken to lightning and fire damage.
Note that the effect from Pyroshock Clasp also applies to physical damage over time as well. This is how the build theoretically achieves slightly over 100% physical shift.
However, because the build doesn't actually deal that much lightning damage nor have a reliable way to shock tankier enemies, its physical damage shift is realistically closer to 94%.
The final layer of defense that prevents this build from ever getting one-shot within maps is high recoup/recovery.
This layer first starts with the Bloodnotch and Immutable Force combo. This enables the build to continue moving around even when constantly being stunned by enemies and also recover a significant portion of damage from stunning hits over a short duration.
Petrified Blood prevents 40% of damage taken from hits and causes that damage to be taken over 4 seconds instead. 30% recoup can be obtained by allocating Infused Flesh, and another 12% can be gained by anointing Vampirism.
The biggest goal here is to prevent the build from being one-shot, so a Defiance of Destiny will be used to gain 42% of missing life before each hit is calculated.
The flask setup of this build features these 3 elemental defensive flasks to further boost the build's elemental max hit:
A Sulphur Flask is used to improve life regeneration from Consecrated Ground as well as reduce the effect of curses.
Finally, the build runs a Quicksilver Flask (Masochist's Quicksilver Flask Of Infliction) for a bit of extra movement speed.
One additional thing to look for in the flask setup are prefixes that allow them to gain charges when the character is hit by enemies. This will greatly improve their uptime while mapping and fighting bosses.

View MoreIn Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0, the developers added a host of new class-specific unique items. However, it's a common understanding after the update: these powerful new unique items are often very expensive, often out of reach. If you aim for these pricey items to complete your build, you'll likely end up emptying your wallet quickly.
So, is it possible to create a powerful, Uber-boss-killing build using these affordable class-specific items? Let's find out.
Let's turn our attention to The Last Lament Desolate Crossbow in Path of Exile 2 whose unique mechanics encourage active, high-risk play.
The Desolate Crossbow boasts high physical damage, a life leech modifier, a chance to reload upon killing an enemy, and a unique ability - sacrificing 300 health points to avoid expending the last bolt. This means we can keep attacking as long as our health regenerates quickly enough, a key mechanic that often gives us a chance to turn the tide in the endgame.
In Patch 0.3.0, The Last Lament Desolate Crossbow didn't receive any specific changes, but both its crossbow archetype and Ranger class received significant buffs.
With its powerful perk, Compose Requiem, which transforms souls trapped within the crossbow into weapons, and the ability to gain unlimited arrows by sacrificing life, it's an excellent choice for a final unique item, dealing devastating damage to enemies.
So, how do we choose Ascendancy class? Our top choice for Ascendancy class is Lich. Its passive ability prevents health from depleting while we have an energy shield, meaning we have more opportunities for uninterrupted fire. However, this build requires a rather high PoE 2 currency budget.
That's not a problem, though. We have another affordable option: Warrior Ascendancy. The basics are simple: Warrior significantly increases our attack range, life, and health regeneration. Combined with the life leech on kills, we can effectively avoid health loss.
But we ultimately chose Titan Ascendancy because it allows for easy area clearing and boss kills using the crossbow skill. Desolate Crossbow combined with Titan grants a slow, powerful attack with echo damage and increased damage to stunned enemies.
For skills, we use Explosive Shot, Explosive Grenade, Rapid Shot, Solar Orb, and Spirit skills including Wind Dancer, Cast on Ignite, and Blink.
Let me explain each one. Explosive Shot is our primary map-clearing skill, and combined with the powerful impact of Titan Ascendancy, it keeps monsters at bay.
Explosive Grenade, Rapid Shot, and Solar Orb are all boss-fight skills, so we should bind them to our secondary weapons.
It's worth noting that Rapid Shot has a modifier: Grenades gain 6% of damage as extra Fire Damage per Heat. During boss fights, we want to maximize this effect to ensure the four Explosive Grenades we'll be using benefit from it.
For our secondary weapon, we should choose a crossbow that adds an extra grenade, has high-level projectiles, and deals high elemental damage.
Next, we evaluated the character's full equipment set and calculated that the approximate cost of completing it should be close to 30 PoE 2 Divine Orbs. The equipment we need is as follows:
Aside from this, for the remaining gear, the key stats we're looking for are maximum life resistance, high damage, additional Spirit, and movement speed.
Keep in mind that these unique items aren't fixed. For example, we can't equip Astraamentis with Morior Invictus or The Coming Calamity simultaneously because we won't have enough mana to use the skills. Therefore, we need to make some trade-offs when choosing items.
Finally, in terms of the skill tree, we should choose Titan Ascendancy's Crushing Impacts, Hulking Form, and Mysterious Lineage. Combined with Explosive Shot, we can prevent monsters from approaching us to improve our survivability. Hulking Form increases our health, while Mysterious Lineage enhances our secondary talents.
In terms of skill allocation, there are two main setups. The first setup should maximize attack range for map clearing, while the second configuration focuses on boss fights.
Let's focus on the first map clearing setup. First, we need to allocate more points to Stars Aligned talent. To fully utilize Stars Aligned, we should pair it with the From Nothing talent, which includes Unwavering Stance.
Next, allocate points to all talents that provide AoE effects. Finally, we should choose Resolute Technique to ensure we can deal sufficient damage with Blood Magic.
In summary, while this build's DPS and EHP aren't exceptional, don't worry; it's more than capable of surviving bosses. Furthermore, as long as there are enough monsters, it regenerates infinitely.
This build performs adequately in both level clearing and boss fights. It can kill with one hit, but it's prone to death if its life leech is insufficient. While there's limited room for improvement, this also makes the build relatively inexpensive to complete. Therefore, it's a suitable build for casual players to try out in the early stages of a league, offering a low level of control.
It's no secret that Path of Exile 2's microtransactions adhere to the original game's design principles, providing players with the convenience of cosmetic items and more stash tabs.
With the exception of stash tabs, which are considered essential for serious inventory management, most other microtransactions are purely cosmetic and provide no gameplay advantage, contributing to their widespread acceptance.
Now that we have mentioned the micro-transaction function in POE 2, we have to mention Mystery Box. This is the game's official loot box, a consumable microtransaction. Players receive a random cosmetic item of at least equal value upon opening the box. As mentioned previously, these items are purely cosmetic and have no impact on character power or progression.
The key feature of these Mystery Boxes is that you'll never receive a duplicate of a microtransaction you already own, meaning each time you open a box, you increase your chances of receiving a new, unowned item.
The items provided by Mystery Boxes are often later sold in the microtransaction store, so this has gradually evolved into a significant form of investment. Because some items can increase or decrease in value over time, a well-invested item can earn you a significant amount of PoE 2 currency in the future.
Path of Exile 2's The Third Edict Mystery Box also contains a number of tradeable microtransactions, most of which come in multiple variations, with a wide variety of themes and designs. You have an equal chance of unlocking each microtransaction from these loot boxes, but some variations may be rarer than others.
The 56 items (including their variants) you can find in this Mystery Box, along with their corresponding chances, are as follows:
Different skins and accessories have different styles. Embrace your wild side with Fractured Dreamer or Fractured Nightmare Armor Sets! Combined with all these helmets, wands, staves, sceptres, spears, bucklers, and foci skins, you'll look and feel scarier than Trickster himself.
For those looking to embody a monster, or simply prefer a more tribal vibe, check out Goblin Shaman and Goblin Witchdoctor Armor Sets. Each set comes with an exclusive back accessory and matching weapon skin!
Goblin Shaman skin replaces your character's default skin with one resembling that of a kin. This marks the first microtransaction to completely replace your character's base model, giving you the appearance of an entirely different species.
Also, for those who prefer mounts, there's Fractured Rhoa Mount and Karui Rhoa Mount. Parking your mount next to the matching Well Hideout Decorations will also refill your flask.
Mystery Box in POE 2 patch 0.3.0 can be obtained from the in-game store for 50 points. Access the store by clicking the Microtransaction Shop button on the player HUD.
Once you've obtained these loot boxes, you'll find them in the Consumable section of your in-game microtransaction stash, waiting to be opened. Please note that the results of opening these Mystery Boxes are completely random, and some items are rarer than others. However, you're guaranteed to receive an item worth at least as much as you paid, and historically, you're more likely to receive items of higher value.
It's worth noting that if you're aiming for a specific microtransaction type, the chances are approximately 1 in 25. However, the chances of receiving themed microtransactions vary, as detailed above.
Please note that these odds only apply to the first box you open. Since there are no duplicates, each subsequent box you open increases your chances of receiving other microtransactions.
In short, as we've mentioned before, these Mystery Box microtransactions don't provide any in-game advantages, so not every player needs them. But if you want to personalize your character with unique armor skins, weapon visuals, and more, for extensive character and hideout customization, then acquiring them is indeed the easiest way to go.
Since Path of Exile 2's Early Access release, Lightning Arrow Deadeye build has been a popular choice. Not only does it deal massive damage to multiple targets with its chain lightning beams, but it also boasts excellent on-target perks and mobility. Combined with Deadeye Ascendancy's passive buff, it significantly increases damage and clearing speed.
This build excels at shredding dense enemy teams, and its gear and passive tree offer strong leveling potential. Whether you're looking to challenge pinnacle bosses or quickly farm POE 2 currency, Lightning Arrow Deadeye is an excellent build choice.
But after the balancing challenges of POE 2's The Third Edict update, can Lightning Arrow Deadeye maintain its dominance as it did in Patch 0.2.0? Let's find out!
First, I think the changes to this build starting with Patch 0.2.0 are significant.
If you haven't played POE 2 since Patch 0.2.0, then, like many others, you might not notice a noticeable difference in the first few weeks. But the developers actually made a lot of changes to bow in Patch 0.2.0.
In the middle of Patch 0.2.0, about a month in, they increased the damage of Lightning Rod by 30%, which is a huge single-target buff.
In addition, they added a +1 Arrow Rune, which you can insert into your Bow to gain more +1 arrows. And since Lightning Rod can scale arrows, it's very effective for both clearing and single-target attacks.
They also increased Lightning Arrow Chaining range from 2.4 meters to 3.2 meters, which is a significant improvement. Now it has even greater clearing power.
It's worth noting that the developers also buffed this build's single-target damage, so after all the buffs in patch 0.2.0, it's overall quite impressive.
Lightning Arrow itself wasn't significantly affected in Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0. However, Lightning Rod was rebalanced so that upgrading its gem quality now increases the chance of additional lightning bursts rather than increasing its range. While this change might feel like a nerf to its AOE power, the increased lightning burst rate does benefit the build's damage.
Thus, Lightning Arrow Deadeye build is a solid performer in Patch 0.3.0, and with all these buffs and improvements, it still has the potential to be one of the best builds in Path of Exile 2, or at least a top contender.
In PoE 2, Lightning Arrow is a projectile skill that creates an initial arrow and then unleashes arcing lightning beams that can chain onto multiple enemies, making it particularly effective at clearing large groups of enemies.
In contrast, Lightning Rod is a stationary skill that creates a stationary lightning burst on the ground as a secondary damage source. This can be chained with the beams of Lightning Arrow and other Lightning skills to deal high damage to a single target, making it ideal for boss fights.
LA/LR build in Path of Exile 2 is a powerful bow build, leveraging Deadeye Ascendancy's projectiles and damage bonus to efficiently clear the area and kill bosses.
This build works by locking Lightning Arrow onto an enemy and using Lightning Rod to create a stationary target for subsequent Lightning Arrows, creating a massive area-of-effect damage source. As a result, this synergy is considered one of the most powerful and fastest-scaling skill synergies in POE 2.
Next, let's review Tornado Shot, which was a key reason why Deadeye's Lightning Arrow was so popular until the middle of patch 0.2.0.
In PoE 2, pairing Tornado Shot with Lightning Arrow Deadeye can boost single-target damage and create powerful combos. This is because when a Lightning Arrow projectile hits a placed Tornado Shot, it triggers a chain attack, allowing the arrow to hit the target multiple times.
This setup is particularly useful against bosses and rare monsters, as by strategically placing Tornado Shot on the boss, you can maximize your damage output with subsequent Lightning Arrow combos.
This synergy significantly boosts overall damage and provides additional projectiles, making it an easy endgame powerhouse. This is why many players transition from Lightning Arrow to Tornado Shot once they have the necessary gear, such as a high-quality Tornado Shot gem and powerful +1 arrow gear.
A fully optimized character build can deal enough damage to effectively one-shot Xesht pinnacle boss, instantly dealing over 30 million damage, making it one of the highest DPS skills in the game.
This is also one of the fastest builds in PoE 2. In Patch 0.3.0, Lightning Arrow Deadeye can actually achieve up to 130% movement speed, and if you stack Hinder debuff, this build can even reach 160% movement speed.
This build is particularly useful in the endgame and leveling stages, as it can trigger chain lightning damage, which, combined with mechanics like Herald of Thunder and Lightning Rods and Voltaic Mark, creates powerful and satisfying screen-clearing effects.
When you kill a shocked or frozen enemy, Herald of Thunder triggers and chains attacks, significantly increasing your damage and screen-clearing speed.
Additionally, placing Lightning Rods at the feet of enemies creates a concentrated damage point, which can create a powerful chain reaction with Lightning Arrow to defeat even stronger enemies. Voltaic Mark skill boosts your damage to a single target and helps amplify the shock status, further increasing the clearing effect.
Notably, Deadeye can gain significant movement speed bonuses through runes, movement modifiers on boots, and other mechanics, making it one of the fastest builds in the game.
Therefore, with Lightning Arrow's powerful chain attacks, Herald of Thunder's explosive effects, and Voltaic Mark's shock, Lightning Arrow Deadeye is an extremely effective and satisfying choice for long-range mob clearing in Patch 0.3.0.
In short, Lightning Arrow Deadeye is a standout in terms of leveling, DPS, and clearing speed in POE 2 Patch 0.3.0. Therefore, I predict this build will be incredibly insane in the early stages of The Third Edict! So give it a try before they nerf it significantly!
Exiles, today we'd like to discuss a unique and niche build that only 0.2% of players used in Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.2.0, making it a truly unique option for those looking to experiment with a different style: the Shattering Palm Witch. This build performed exceptionally well in patch 0.2.0.
In Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0: The Third Edict update, the Shattering Palm build wasn't directly altered, but rather enhanced through extensive improvements to unarmed combat and the new Hollow Palm Technique Keystone. This keystone allows the use of quarterstaffs with unarmed weapons and grants increased speed, critical strike, and damage bonuses to unarmed skills.
Thus, by addressing past gameplay issues, Shattering Palm Witch build's damage and capabilities have been significantly increased.
Here, we'll discuss how Shattering Palm Witch works, including the required skills, equipment, and everything else you need to know. Let's get started!
First, before diving into the mechanics behind this build, let's take a look at the required skills.
As a clear core skill, Shattering Palm can be enhanced with talents, allowing it to cover the entire screen. Shattering Palm applies a layer of Ice Crystals to enemies, and when one of these monsters dies, Ice Crystals trigger a chain explosion.
Furthermore, we can exploit the unique synergy between Shattering Palm and Ice Wall. While Shattering Palm itself has low damage and is cast with bare hands, cleverly paired with Ice Wall, it can deliver significant damage.
Because Ice Wall can be treated as an enemy and has ice attached to it, we can summon a low-level Ice Wall and then shatter it with Shattering Palm, triggering a chain explosion.
While Shattering Palm isn't as effective as Ice Wall in terms of direct kill potential, this strategy allows us to effectively clear groups of enemies using its explosive effects and harvest a large amount of PoE 2 currency in a short period of time.
By summoning a low-level Ice Wall and shattering it, we can create chain explosions to boost our overall damage output and enhance our clearing damage with our Aura skills.
It's worth noting that since we're using Freeze element, we can also combine Cast on Freeze and Freezing Mark Skill Gems to more easily trigger Shattering Palm. This setup allows us to effectively deal with groups of enemies and utilize the freezing mechanic to boost our overall damage output.
Next, let's discuss gear selection for this Shattering Palm Witch build.
For unique items, you should consider Collapsing Horizon, Ingenuity, and Morior Invictus.
While our Shattering Palm doesn't gain damage bonuses from weapons, weapon modifiers can still increase our damage. Therefore, Collapsing Horizon is a good choice, as it not only increases skill levels but also provides critical strike chance and skill regeneration.
Ingenuity is a unique Heavy Belt in Path of Exile 2 that increases the bonuses of equipped rings by 40-80%.
Morior Invictus is a unique body armor that increases the player's armor, evasion, and energy shield, and increases the rarity of each Socketed Rune or Soul Core, granting additional Spirit.
In addition, when looking at item stat bonuses, focus on single stat increases, energy shield, resistances, melee skill level, and flat damage modifiers. These stats will help improve the overall performance of the build.
In the skill tree, prioritize allocating points to Flurry and Authority passive nodes. Additionally, invest in From Nothing and Iron Reflexes nodes to remove all evasion ratings and convert them to armor. Finally, the remaining points can be used to increase critical damage, energy shield, and elemental damage.
Please note that this build has no specific Ascendancy requirements; you can choose based on your personal preference.
However, if you're looking for improved clearing capabilities, I'd recommend prioritizing Lich Ascendancy. This is because Lich in PoE 2 provides powerful offensive and defensive benefits for both spellcasters and summoners, including bonus chaos damage that scales with mana from Unholy Might, additional curse effects, the ability to cause cursed enemies to explode, and the powerful defensive power provided by Soulless Form and Eternal Life.
In addition, Lich Ascendancy can utilize Crystalline Phylactery to gain an additional jewel socket, which can be combined with other nodes to further enhance your defense.
Firstly, the total equipment cost to complete this build is less than 20 PoE 2 Divine Orbs. While it's not the lowest-cost build, it's actually a good deal considering the impressive results.
As for the practicality of this build, I believe this is a subjective and judgmental issue, so individual opinions may vary. Objectively speaking, this build boasts excellent clearing speed, though its boss-killing abilities are a bit lackluster. However, its relatively low cost makes it suitable for casual players, and more importantly, its simple controls make it incredibly easy to master!
In short, Shattering Palm Witch build in Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0 offers excellent clearing speed and strong survivability, thanks to its core mechanic: applying Freeze debuff to enemies while dashing, and triggering a massive Freezing Explosion when struck hard enough.
While effective, players must prioritize high-level Shattering Palm and the Freezing Mark Skill Gem to maximize the blast's damage. Furthermore, this build can be a bit cumbersome, requiring careful aiming and positioning to avoid damage.
