Best Flicker Strike Slayer Build In POE 3.21! - 70 Million Damage Flicker Strike!
Are you ready, Exiles, to experience Flicker like you have never before? I’m talking extremely high damage, speed and tankiness at the same time. This monster of a build deals around 75 million damage while having 100% spell suppression and max block. This is because we are utilizing a cheap and forgotten unique weapon that few people are exploiting right now.
Ascendancy
Starting with our ascendancy, we ascended our Duelist into a Slayer. This is simply because the Slayer ascendancy is best when it comes to both melee damage and tankiness. Also, its starting location on the tree just happens to be perfect for us.
So, first we begin with Impact. This node gives us that much needed accuracy and strike range while leveling. That alongside 15% more damage to enemies based on proximity, the thing about melee skills like Flicker. You always gain the highest possible bonuses from proximity modifiers simply because you sit on top of an enemy when you hit them.
Anyway, next, we got Brutal Fervour. This node provides us with doubled life recovery from Leech and 10% global damage reduction while leeching. And we are retaining leech effects after reaching maximum life. Basically, you’ll be leaching forever. This is hands down the best defensive node in the whole game and rightfully so, melee builds need something like this.
To sustain themselves against bosses from here, we take Masterful Form. This node sets our maximum Endurance Charges to be equal to our maximum Frenzy Charges. That’s in addition to increasing our maximum Frenzy Charges count by one. This node is generally the main reason why Slayer is better than Raider.
Last but not least, we have Bane of Legends. This node is simply 20% more damage multiplier against unique enemies and 10% more if we have killed anything recently. And both of them stacks together.

Passive Tree
Next, let’s take a look at our passive tree.
Our tree focuses on Frenzy Charges, sword nodes, attack nodes, crit nodes, spell suppression, block, life and speed.
Next, we got two large cluster jewel setups going. These provide us with leech and additional jewel sockets. They add the following notables: Feed the Fury, Fuel the Fight, Martial Prowess and Gladiator’s Fortitude.
Next for Mastery choices, just make sure to take the 40% physical conversion to Cold Mastery as it is required for the build. We also have 120% increased Critical Strike Chance with Swords at the cost of 20% Critical Strike Multiplier with Sword. We compensate for that downside with the 25% increased Critical Strike Multiplier against unique enemies.

Items
Now, let’s go over our items.
*Starting off, we are mainly handing The Saviour as our weapon in the build. This is technically unheard of in a non-dual wielding build. Here is the thing.
After the recent buff to its percent damage, a well-rolled Saviour is about half as good as the best rare sword on the market. Now, add the extra damage dealt by your reflections and you get yourself a Mirror-Tier performance for only a couple of Divine Orbs. I say people should take advantage of this before GGG realized their mistake with a buff and nerfed the swapping down the next league.
*Next, we got the self-crafted rare shield (Pandemonium Span Synthesised Crested Tower Shield) to go alongside our weapon. It is synthesized with plus one to maximum frenzy charges implicit. We spammed Essences of clothing on it until we got blockchains alongside other suffixes that we are satisfied with. After that, we spammed Exalted Orbs on the prefixes until hitting tier one life.
*Our next item is Replica Farrul’s Fur. This item is responsible for generating both our maximum number of frenzy and endurance charges as long as we are running Aspect of the Cat on this. You want to have 30% quality and the Harvest Enchant, which makes quality bonuses grants Intelligence instead.
*Now, in order to benefit from our chest, we need a rare item (Tempest Keep Ursine Pelt) with the Aspect of the Cat crafted on it. The best place to have that is on your helm. We can’t spam the suffixes, then added Aspect of the Cat via Beastcrafting. After that, we exalt spam the prefixes for tier one life. Of course, we did all of that with Flicker Strike Lab Enchant.
*Our next item is Darkray Vectors unique boot, another standard item for Flicker builds. We are looking to maximize our Frenzy Charges, so it’s only natural that we use this boot. This one also increases our movement speed with Frenzy Charges, so it ends up being faster than the fastest Mirror-Tier boots on the market. Just make sure to enchant your boots with damage penetration if you haven’t killed recently lab enchant. Because it’s a lot of damage for very little time investment.

*Our next item is Arn’s Anguish unique belt. This item converts all of our Endurance Charges into Brutal Charges. Each Brutal Charge is a 3% chance to deal triple damage. We got 13 Brutal Charges, that’s 78% more damage from one item. That’s pretty neat.
*Anyway, next week got the GG synthesized ring (Oblivion Knuckle Synthesized Moonstone Ring) with plus one maximum Frenzy Charge and plus set and a bunch of other damage mods everywhere. When planning a strong Flicker build, it’s recommended that you mirror a decent ring and then replicate its effect with Kalandra’s Touch Ring. You are pretty much guaranteed to find at least one Mirror-Tier Flicker Strike ring listed for Mirror service on the market regardless of whatever league you are playing in, because Flicker Strike is simply very popular.
*Now, for our amulet, we got a generic rare one (Corruption Torc Citrine Amulet) that has life, crit chance, crit multi and flat added physical damage to attacks. Make sure to anoint Frenetic on your amulet as it represents the last Frenzy Charge that we couldn’t manually afford to allocate on our passive tree.
*Last but not least, we got the GG flicker gloves (Pain Grip Gripped Gloves) with +2 to maximum Frenzy Charges, +2 strike targets and 25% physical damage converted to cold. I crafted this manually and happened to weld the +1 Frenzy on it myself, which is the main reason of why I wanted to make this build in the first place.
Gems
Now, let’s talk about gems that go inside of them.
For our main 6-Link, we have Flicker Strike, Awaken Elemental Damage with Attacks, Awakened Cold Penetration, Awaken Multistrike, Ice Bite and Close Combat Support.
Next, we got our primary reservation setup. It starts with Hatred, Precision, Herald device and level 3 Enlightened.
Next, we got the 4-Link damage support setup. This one contains Divergent Assassin’s Mark, Enhance and Lifetime Support.
Next, we got our primary mobility setup. In it, we have Leap Slam, Faster Attacks and Life Tap.
Last but not least, we got some leftover gems. These are Phantasmal Ancestral Protector, a Portal gem and Enhanced Support and that was it for our gems.
Jewels
Now, let’s talk about jewels.
For our Watcher’s Eye, we got 40% of physical damage converted to cold while affected by Hatred and 15% cold penetration while also affected by Hatred. The conversion mod is mandatory, while the penetration mod is optional.

Anyway, next, we got one Lethal Pride Timeless Jewel that mentions any general. Place it in this specific socket to maximize its effect. This tool will make nearby notables grants additional bonuses. We are looking for a five percent chance to deal double damage. We are looking for melee crit multiplier and try to get as many of them as you can. Any remaining jewel socket you have left should be filled with the normal rare jewel like this one (Carrion Shine Viridian Jewel).
We are looking for life and as much could multiplier as possible. You will need six of these assuming that you have already kept your Elemental Resistances with your items. I recommend you to manually craft them as crafting Fractured Jewels is much cheaper than purchasing them with POE Currency. You just need a Viridian Jewel with a fractured mod and then you reforge life on it via a high-res bench.

While Path of Exile 3.29: Curse of the Allflame won't officially launch until 1 PM PDT on July 24th, the official livestream has already revealed most of the season's content. The most revolutionary change is undoubtedly the complete overhaul of the equipment socket color system.
Previously, players had to match skill gems to equipment socket colors, often hindering their progression due to color mismatches. In 3.29, any skill gem can be socketed into any equipment socket, no longer restricted by color.
All sockets are usable by default, but if a gem's color matches a colored socket, an additional +10% Quality bonus is granted. In other words, the color system has transformed from a constraint into a reward.
For league starters, this is undoubtedly one of the biggest experience improvements in recent years. No.1 Dual Strike of Ambidexterity Slayer
Dual Strike of Ambidexterity is a new Transfigured Gem added in 3.29, completely changing the damage calculation method for Dual Strike. When using this skill, you must equip two different types of melee weapons simultaneously. The skill will take full damage from the main-hand weapon while inheriting the attack speed of the off-hand weapon.
In other words, you can choose a main-hand weapon with high physical damage but a slower attack speed, and pair it with an off-hand weapon with high attack speed and high base critical strike chance, thus achieving excellent damage and attack speed simultaneously.
Since the off-hand weapon almost exclusively requires attack speed, it's very easy to find inexpensive yet high-performing gear during the early game, resulting in smooth overall DPS growth.
Defensively, this build relies on Versatile Combatant Passive Skill. Once Attack Block reaches its limit, excess block chance is converted into Spell Block, granting the character extremely high double-block capability, making it an excellent defensive system for melee builds.
No.2 Glacial Cascade of the Fissure Elementalist
Glacial Cascade of the Fissure is a Cold Spell that deals physical damage and converts 100% of it into Cold Damage. The skill creates six consecutive icicle explosions, and the number of explosions increases further with Gem quality, resulting in extremely high burst potential.
The core gameplay of this build is Mine - using Mine to cast Glacial Cascade of the Fissure achieves extremely high burst damage. Combined with Elementalist's Conflux and Exposure, Cold Damage and critical hit multiplier can be quickly stacked, providing extremely high output even with a low budget at the start of the season.
While the defense of Mine build is relatively average, for this build, the best defense might be to first blow up all the monsters on the screen.
No.3 Icicle Mine Deadeye
Icicle Mine is a classic Cold Mine skill. Upon detonation, it launches a large number of Projectiles, inflicting Cold Damage on enemies. Unlike traditional builds that rely on Armor or Energy Shield, this build uses an Evasion combined with Spell Suppression for evasion.
The core passive skill Acrobatics converts 50% of your Spell Suppression into Spell Dodge. Evasion causes attacks to miss, while Dodge directly prevents the character from being hit. When both mechanisms are stacked high, the character can avoid the vast majority of damage, which is the biggest survivability advantage of Icicle Mine.
Mine skill itself has excellent auto-targeting capabilities, and combined with Deadeye's Tailwind, the entire map clearing experience is very smooth, making it very suitable as a league starter build.
However, besides choosing a suitable build, gear affix rerolling and upgrades are also crucial for early game progression. In the early stages of 3.29, having enough PoE currency will help you optimize your gear faster and improve your early game experience.
No.4 Earthshatter Berserker
While Earthshatter Berserker build isn't new - it was already popular in patch 3.27 - it wasn't nerfed in 3.29; in fact, it became even more comfortable due to slot mechanic adjustments.
Earthshatter is a classic slam skill in Path of Exile. It creates numerous spikes upon attacking, then uses Warcry to detonate them all, creating a second wave of high-damage explosions.
The biggest highlight of this build is Autoexertion support gem. It automatically casts Warcry, so players almost only need to hold down Earthshatter; Warcry automatically completes the explosion cycle. The entire operation is simple and direct, resulting in extremely high map clearing efficiency.
You simply charge into the monster horde, slam the ground, explode, and keep going. No complex combos, no tedious operations - this is pure power aesthetics.
No.5 Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing Pathfinder
Poisonous Concoction is one of the most distinctive skills in PoE. It requires no weapons; instead, you simply throw a Flask at enemies, inflicting Chaos Damage and continuously stacking Poison.
Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing, as a Transfigured version, further incorporates a Bounce mechanic. The thrown Flask bounces between enemies, significantly improving map clearing capabilities.
However, obtaining it is slightly more complex. You must first complete Siren's Cadence mission in Act 1 to obtain the base Poisonous Concoction, then complete Lord's Labyrinth challenge, and finally upgrade it using Divine Font at the end of Lord's Labyrinth.
There's never a single best league starter build in Path of Exile, only the one that best suits your playstyle. With the removal of slot color restrictions in patch 3.29, the early game experience for almost all builds has been significantly improved, giving players more freedom in customization.

Spell Skill Changes
Cold Skill Buffs
Can you believe it? Winter Orb received approximately 80% damage increase in Patch 3.29, a level of boost rarely seen in previous patches.
Furthermore, some high-level players used this skill to complete the four-hour Searing Exarch and Eater of Worlds speedrun challenges before the patch officially went live, demonstrating its dominant performance in progression, dungeon runs, and boss fights.
Freezing Pulse has also received comprehensive numerical buffs. Not only is its base damage increased, but the casting feel has also been improved through animation and projectile speed optimizations, making traditional Cold spells more reliable during PoE 3.29 story progression and the early stages of Atlas.
While self-cast form is not yet mainstream, Discharge's single-hit burst damage has also been improved, potentially allowing for one-hit boss kills with certain PoE gear.
Fire and Lightning Differentiation Enhanced
First, Fireball's spell effect bonus has been significantly increased. This means that any form of additional damage will benefit far more from Fireball than before. Summoning System
Surprisingly, Spectres weren't nerfed in PoE 3.29. Instead, a new way to gain an additional +1 Spectre cap was added, so Spectre summoning builds should maintain their extremely high cap and map clearing efficiency in the new patch.
Additionally, previously, summons had a noticeable pause after each attack. This update removes this pause, making their attacks smoother and more fluid.
However, whether this change will actually improve summon damage output remains to be seen after players experience it at launch.
However, the core mechanic of Minion Pack has been completely rewritten; it no longer provides the previous percentage-based damage increase. Instead, for each living permanent summon you have, your spells gain additional base damage and bonuses.
If you still want to play a traditional pure summoner build, this mechanic may be useless to you.
Reflect Removed
Reflect affix has been completely removed from maps, eliminating the worry of instant death from a recoil effect.
It has been replaced by a fixed damage reflection effect similar to thorns, which can be mitigated by armor or specific skills, and can even be used to build targeted defensive strategies.
Overall, this change to Reflect should be good news for players - it not only reduces the risk of random deaths on the map, but also provides new defensive strategies for players who want to explore more.
Base and Ring Updates
This patch introduces Pearlescent Amulet from PoE 2, whose fixed base provides all elemental resistances, making it a highly cost-effective amulet choice for early game progression.

Scarabs Drop Rate Reduced
Since the core mechanics of the previous league's Mirage no longer exist, the main source of Scarabs has been cut off.
Despite the doubled Scarab drop rate in Betrayal, the overall supply is still far lower than before. It's predictable that the price of Scarabs in the trading market will probably rise in PoE 3.29, requiring players to plan their map strategies more carefully.
Synthesis Affixes Removed
Previously, in PoE, you could obtain powerful affixes, such as double damage, from rare gear through the Synthesis base gameplay, a crucial method for top players to craft endgame gear.
However, you will no longer see these affixes on rare items in Patch 3.29, as they have been removed and may only appear on certain legendary items.
As compensation, the development team has moved many affixes that were previously only obtainable through Synthesis to Corruption affix pool - meaning you might randomly get these valuable items when corrupting gear with PoE currency.
Furthermore, the team has removed some useless corruption affixes, making the currency gamble more worthwhile.
Changes to Reflecting Mist
Reflecting Mist, the crafting currency, was extremely rare in the previous game, but with a bit of luck, you could create incredibly powerful amulets (like +4 skill level).
Now, in patch 3.29, it drops much more frequently than before, but its potential cap has been reduced - it's no longer possible to create amulets with such overpowered stats as +4 skill level. This is a trade-off between quantity and quality, resulting in a more balanced game.
Overall, the development team seems to be aiming to make PoE 3.29 Curse of the Allflame more interactive and diverse. With these enhancements and nerfs, new and powerful build strategies await player exploration and testing!
In Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5, Spirit Walker Summoner remains one of the most popular summoner builds, boasting excellent performance. However, in Return of the Ancients Endgame, damage isn't the sole determining factor.
Focusing on minion damage doesn't guarantee a stable win. How to build a truly unkillable Spirit Walker has become a core concern for many summoner players.
A truly powerful Spirit Walker build doesn't rely on a single attribute for survivability. Through proper Companion Damage Reduction and multi-layered defensive resources, Spirit Walker can maintain a very high margin for error in high-difficulty endgames, becoming a true Path of Exile 2 immortal build.
Survivability Basics
Upon reaching Tier 15, it's recommended that Spirit Walker Summoner have at least 75% All Resistances. Furthermore, your resistances should ideally slightly exceed the cap, as some PoE 2 map debuffs will reduce your resistances.
Besides resistances, Evasion is also a core defensive attribute for Spirit Walker Summoner. Helmets, gloves, and boots should all prioritize high Evasion equipment.
Of course, life is equally important. More Maximum Life increases Spirit Walker Summoner's Effective HP, preventing instant death from high-damage PoE 2 skills.
Companions
Provide Defense
The key defensive mechanism for Spirit Walker Summoner lies in Companions. Many players only focus on summoned creature damage output, neglecting Loyalty effect provided by Companions. By equipping multiple Path of Exile 2 Companions with Loyalty Support Gems, significant damage reduction can be achieved.
A Spirit Walker with 10 Companions, all equipped with Loyalty, can achieve nearly 100% Damage Reduction. However, this doesn't mean complete invincibility. This effect depends on the survival of Companions and is primarily effective against hits. If you encounter areas of continuous damage, like Burning Ground, your character's life can still be threatened.
However, in most PoE 2 combat, as long as Companions are alive, they act as your life shield. This is why elite players' Spirit Walker builds typically revolve around Companion Survival.
In Patch 0.5.0, Undying Will Aura was adjusted. Previously, it could enhance both the character and Minions, granting the character vigorous defense. Now, it primarily affects Companions, increasing their survivability and reducing the impact of Burning Ground, Poison Ground, and some direct attacks, keeping Loyalty Damage Reduction effective for longer.
Therefore, you need to increase the number of companions and use Loyalty and Undying Will to ensure their survival. This is the lowest-cost way to improve defense in Path of Exile 2.
Death Loop
In actual PoE 2 gameplay, companion death is a frequent problem encountered by summoner builds. Normally, when a Companion is killed by an enemy, it enters a Revival state, unable to continue fighting and losing its Loyalty defensive effects. It must wait for a Revival Time to rejoin the battlefield.
When a Companion is in Revival, if another Companion dies, Revival Time of the resurrecting Companion is shortened. In short, the death of a Companion isn't necessarily a bad thing; in fact, by controlling the death rhythm, you can get them back into combat faster.
You can use specific skills and passives in Path of Exile 2 to control companion's health. Infernal Legion inflicts continuous fire damage on Minions and fire damage on nearby enemies, reducing Companion's health and making it easier for them to trigger Revival.
Feeding Frenzy makes summons more proactive in seeking out enemies, and Minion Instability causes Companions to explode upon death, dealing additional damage. By actively controlling the death of Companions through these mechanisms and then shorten the time, Companions can quickly return to the battlefield.

Aura Bots are often underestimated in POE 2. However, in Return of the Ancients, a good Aura Bot can provide All Resistance, Energy Shield, Undying Will, Temporal Bubble, and Hinder Aura.
Elemental Resistance Aura is particularly useful. It provides approximately 35% All Resistance, significantly reducing gear requirements. For players lacking Path of Exile 2 Currency, this is almost a low-cost Mageblood alternative.
Additionally, Temporal Bubble and Hinder Aura can reduce enemy Movement Speed, Action Speed, and Cooldown Recovery, lowering their attack frequency and further enhancing survivability.

Practical Tips
Besides equipment and skill combinations, micro-management is equally important. Spirit Walker players should make good use of Minion Command skill, allowing companions to move and focus fire.
Especially in situations with high Modifier Expedition, or when encountering powerful Rare Monsters, avoid placing your character in dangerous areas of Path of Exile 2.
Maintaining movement is crucial, as movement grants additional Evasion. If in danger, you can use Weapon Swap to bring the core companion back to your side.

Tier S
Curse of the Allflame
As the new mechanic introduced in Curse of the Allflame League, it is generally expected that the latest League mechanic in PoE will offer some of the highest rewards.
You first need to find Charts along the various coasts of Wraeclast, which can essentially be considered encounters. After obtaining Charts, you can board The Sovereign and begin your deep-sea treasure hunt.
You can connect multiple Charts together to create a large expedition. During the voyage, you can repeatedly challenge encounters while stacking rewards, which is clearly the core gameplay of this mechanic.
Each Chart comes with special modifiers that can affect adjacent Charts or the entire journey. For example, all monster equipment drops may be converted into gold, or friendly jellyfish may appear beside monster groups, and killing them can provide additional experience and drops.
Certain Charts will lead to special areas such as anchorages, shipwrecks, or abyssal pits, which are filled with treasure chests and monsters. You may even discover and recover ancient relics.
The special currency obtained from Curse of the Allflame is Ducats, which can be used to Twist items and grant them powerful effects.
In terms of mechanics, Curse of the Allflame is not overly complicated. Simply put, it is a series of underwater encounters that provide rewards such as XP and gold. Even without special Charts, it remains worth farming during the early League progression.

Delve mechanic was already one of the top strategies in PoE 3.28, and the removal of Mirage has no impact on it. Whether during the early or late stages of the league, Delve can provide extremely high returns.
