The core of our farming strategy lies in utilizing the synergy between Scarabs and Atlas Passive Tree to transform Rogue Exiles and Mercenaries into a stable source of high-value items.

Players need to add many Rogue Exiles to the map using specific Scarabs, giving them a high probability of carrying Mercenaries, then forcing all Mercenaries' equipment to become unique, while using passives to ensure that these Mercenaries drop at least two items upon death, or even all of their equipment.

Building upon this, Rogue Exiles also boast a higher PoE currency and Scarab drop rate.

Profitability

This strategy excels in the current PoE 3.29 because it not only provides stable returns but also offers surprising rewards.

Besides acquiring many Divine Orbs and special Scarabs, you have a greater chance to directly obtain top-tier unique Heavy Belts like Mageblood.

More importantly, the map will feature a large number of Infamous Mercenaries - if you primarily play as a Luminary, you can use this to specifically hunt powerful Mercenaries such as Combatant, Manyshot, or Kineticist. These top-tier Mercenaries can fetch hundreds of Divine Orbs or even Mirror-level prices on the trading market.

Map Selection

This strategy doesn't have strict requirements regarding map selection for Path of Exile, but players should prioritize terrain they can complete quickly.

Maps like Mesa and City Square, which are open and have relatively simple paths, are highly recommended.

Second, Tropical Island, Dunes, Beach, and Strand will also work.

However, Jungle Valley is not recommended because pairing it with Templar Astrolabe requires killing the boss, slowing down your farming pace.

Our core goal is speed farming, clearing each map in under two minutes as quickly as possible, so avoid situations requiring boss kills.

Scarabs Configuration

Regarding Scarabs, three are mandatory:

• Trarthan Scarab of Infamy
• Trarthan Scarab of Renown
• Trarthan Scarab of Surprising Alliances

We need to use Trarthan Scarab of Infamy to transform the main Mercenary in PoE map into an Infamous Mercenary and add two additional random Mercenaries.

Trarthan Scarab of Renown is key to our entire farming strategy - it forces all Mercenaries' gear to become unique, laying the foundation for the subsequent loot mechanics.

The third Trarthan Scarab of Surprising Alliances grants a 50% chance for all Rogue Exiles to be accompanied by a Wild Mercenary.

While these three Scarabs aren't cheap (approximately 15 to 35 Chaos Orbs each), with the help of Atlas Passive Tree and loot drops, we can essentially be self-sufficient, making this strategy entirely worthwhile.

Furthermore, if you invest two more Anarchy Scarabs, each adding five extra Rogue Exiles to the map, you can increase that by ten.

And these ten Rogue Exiles also have a 50% chance of triggering an accompanying Wild Mercenary. Combined with the two Mercenaries from Trarthan Scarab of Infamy, this brings the total to approximately seven Wild Mercenaries.

Theoretically, you could add a third Anarchy Scarab, but based on actual testing in Path of Exile 3.29, two Anarchy Scarabs are already sufficient to provide enough PoE currency.

Atlas Passive Tree Configuration

To cater to different character strengths and preferences, this Rogue Exiles and Mercenaries farming strategy offers two Atlas Passive Tree configurations.

High-Risk Configuration

The core objective of this first high-risk configuration is to maximize the drop potential of Rogue Exiles and Mercenaries.

In Mercenary-related nodes, select Contract Killers to allow your allied Mercenaries to deal double damage to both Rogue Exiles and enemy Mercenaries.

Simultaneously, you should acquire all nodes that increase the chance of "dropping all items," especially Loot and Pillage, which provides a 10% chance for Mercenaries to drop a full set of items.

Loot and Pillage node, combined with Trarthan Scarab of Renown's mechanism that converts all gear into unique items, allows you to obtain a complete set of unique gear at once triggered.

For Rogue Exiles, Ruckus node is essential, as it has a chance to generate an additional 20 Rogue Exiles. While this significantly increases the difficulty, the rewards are also dramatically increased.

Exiled Will node makes Rogue Exiles even more powerful and profitable, and is recommended in this high-risk Atlas Passive Tree configuration.

Royal Guard node ensures a chance of Rogue Exiles appearing in the map's boss room and is also worth selecting.

As for the remaining points, you can invest in nodes related to Astrolabe, such as Synthesized Stability and Speaker of the Dead, to increase the output of PoE currency, Scarabs, and Divination Cards.

Low Difficulty Configuration

The second low-difficulty configuration focuses on reducing the risk in Path of Exile, guaranteeing only a 90% Mercenaries spawn rate, and then supplementing it to 100% through two blocker nodes.

Because map affixes are few or nonexistent, we don't need to allocate points to any map affix effects. Instead, we should allocate points to Shrines-related nodes to increase movement speed and damage output, thus clearing maps quickly.

Simultaneously, we should forgo Exiled Will option from the first approach to reduce the threat posed by Rogue Exiles.

Furthermore, allocating points to Sulfite Infusion allows us to accumulate Sulfite needed for Delve while clearing PoE maps, providing a supply for later Delve gameplay.

While this approach sacrifices some Scarabs and unique drop bonuses, it still provides a stable fixed drop reward of Mercenaries and Rogue Exiles on White maps, with a very low investment required.

Gameplay Flow

Upon entering the map, our primary goal is to head straight for the boss and quickly defeat it to trigger any Rogue Exiles that may be present in the boss room.

During your clearing journey, if you find a Mercenary carrying high-value items but not worth recruiting, kill them to claim all their loot. If they have no particular value, you can capture them to temporarily become allies and help you clear the remaining enemies.

The ultimate goal is to clear as much of the map as possible, as each Rogue Exile and Mercenary within the map has its own unique loot drop opportunities.

Patience is crucial in this farming strategy; don't expect bursts of loot on every map. Good luck hunting Rogue Exiles and Mercenaries in Path of Exile 3.29, and may you reap your desired spoils!

GGG believes that the current PoE 1 endgame has developed a significant stale problem. For many years, we've been using similar Scarab and farming strategies. Some gameplay elements that were very strong and fun in the past have been weakened to the point of almost losing their practical value, rather than simply being adjusted.

Over time, players have become increasingly limited in what they can pursue in the endgame. Therefore, Patch 3.30 is planned to be an extreme shakeup of the endgame.

The official hope is to give players something new to explore and experiment with in Path of Exile, and to rediscover reasons to continue upgrading their characters.

Release Date

The release of Path of Exile 3.30 in 2026 is almost certain, but the specific release date has not yet been announced. Recently, the community has begun seriously discussing a bold possibility: could 3.30 be released earlier, in October?

This speculation isn't entirely unfounded. If GGG does indeed choose to release Patch 3.30 in October, PoE series could remain in the spotlight for several months. Releasing PoE Patch 3.30 in October, hosting ExileCon in November, and then releasing PoE 2 Patch 1.0 on December 11th - this timeline is indeed very attractive.

If Patch 3.30 goes live on October 16th, it will only be 12 weeks between this release and the previous league. This timeframe allows GGG to complete a League release ahead of schedule, leaving time to address early issues before ExileCon. Furthermore, if Patch 3.31 is delayed until around February 2027, PoE 1 League cycle can be extended again.

Of course, a November release or even a delay until 2027 cannot be ruled out. After all, PoE 2 remains one of the official most important projects. Although PoE has its own independent team, there are still issues with resource sharing between the two games. Especially since Patch 3.30 involves a large-scale endgame revamp, GGG would likely prefer to delay its release if more testing time is needed.

Loot

Loot is a very important direction for Patch 3.30. Currently, Path of Exile loot system has a fundamental problem. So-called tile loot has gradually transformed from a guaranteed reward into the primary source of loot that players actively pursue.

When you enter a map, you often need to constantly click on chests, reward nodes, or fixed loot sources, rather than obtaining sufficiently valuable rewards from killing monsters themselves. The development team wants to change this, allowing players to obtain more genuine loot from combat itself.

Therefore, POE Patch 3.30 will probably reduce the number of these fixed loot in some league mechanics while increasing the importance of monster drops.

Core loot pool will also be reconsidered. The development team believes that Path of Exile currently lacks the most important element of ARPGs: the sense of the unknown and the element of surprise. Therefore, they are considering moving some chase drops currently locked to specific league mechanics back to core loot pool. This would free players from having to follow fixed routes to farm specific mechanics.

Another area of ​​great interest is whether monster rarity and item rarity should affect loot quality. Currently, PoE 1 rare monsters severely limit currency drops.

From a design perspective, rarer and harder-to-kill monsters should theoretically have a better chance of dropping high-value Path Of Exile Currency. While the official announcement hasn't confirmed this change will be included in Patch 3.30, it's a direction they are considering.

The development team acknowledges that some past Path of Exile farming strategies may have indeed been nerfed too heavily. Splitting Exiles is one example. However, the team still believes that the extreme farming strategies of Necropolis and Affliction eras must be significantly limited, as such loot explosions severely impact the entire economy.

Players are now very familiar with the specific friction points of certain old PoE strategies, gameplay mechanics that may have been researched and repeated hundreds or even thousands of times. For the development team, this means we've solved the problem; now we need something new to start solving it anew.

Endgame Revamp

Path of Exile also discussed an interesting direction: endgames shouldn't have only one ultimate solution. Instead of all players ultimately pursuing the same strongest farming strategy, different builds could excel in different endgame content. If this direction is implemented, more pronounced build specialization may emerge in the future.

PoE 3.30 endgame re-amp won't just focus on maps. The development team specified that other endgame content, including bosses, will also be affected.

The development team hopes to give more large league mechanics their own Pinnacle Bosses, which may be linked to new Bloodlines in the future. This is a system that the development team greatly appreciates; they want to add corresponding bloodlines to each boss.

Many unique maps in PoE are quite outdated, especially Synthesis Maps, which currently lack a clear and exciting endgame. If Synthesis is redesigned in the future, the development team prefers a complete design similar to Synthesis 2; however, this direction remains a long-term plan and is not confirmed for release in 3.30.

League Mechanic

Almost all league mechanics will be re-examined. Path of Exile won't necessarily be a simple buff/nerf to the old mechanics; some league mechanics may receive new gameplay, new rewards, or even a complete overhaul of their original mechanics.

The most certain example is Mirage. Mirage will return in PoE 3.30, which is fairly certain. However, the specific form of Mirage's return is still undecided.

PoE development team still needs to discuss the implementation with programmer responsible for the original mechanics and the design team. Mirage's Belt will be retained, but acquiring it in the future may not be as easy as it was in the original Mirage League.

Harbinger currently has a vague design, and art assets are underway. This means that the rework of Harbinger has begun, but the development team has not committed to a specific version, nor has it confirmed that it will definitely be included in PoE Patch 3.30.

Currently, many details regarding Path of Exile 3.30 are still pending, especially regarding the extent of changes to endgame, loot, and the old league mechanic. The return of Mirage is practically confirmed, and Harbinger has begun design and art preparations, but the specific release date and which content will be included in 3.30 remain to be announced.

In Path of Exile 3.29, the accuracy stacker build has once again become a focus for high-budget players. This build isn't new; as early as 3.13, players had already created a classic accuracy stacker using Stormrider Boots' hit rating to lightning damage conversion mechanism.

This playstyle has made a strong comeback in 3.29, achieving unprecedented strength thanks to numerous new mechanics. Int & Accuracy Stacking Juggernaut build described in this article achieves approximately 146,000 accuracy rating and 4,000 intelligence even in hideout mode, simulating a single-target DPS of up to 450 million, while also possessing over 13,000 Energy Shield.

Core Mechanism: Dual Amplification of Intelligence and Accuracy Rating

The core damage of this build comes from Stormrider Boots - boots obtainable through Ritual, whose core affix adds 1-6 points of lightning damage per 200 points of accuracy rating.

Through Shaper's Touch gloves, each point of Intelligence is converted into 2 points of accuracy rating; further amplified by the 3% increased accuracy rating per 25 Intelligence effect of Foulborn Hand of Thought and Motion, intelligence further amplifies accuracy rating.

Combined with Undeniable from Juggernaut ascendancy - which increases attack speed and grants twice the accuracy rating of strength per 150 points of accuracy rating - a positive feedback loop between intelligence and accuracy is formed.

Core Skill: Static Strike of Gathering Lightning

The primary offensive skill is Static Strike of Gathering Lightning - after hitting an enemy, you gain the Gathering Lightning buff for 4 seconds. Each stack of Gathering Lightning releases a chainable lightning beam, with damage and chain count increasing with the number of stacks, up to a maximum of 10.

This skill inherently converts 50% of physical damage into lightning damage, and each stack of Gathering Lightning provides an additional 8% damage, making its single-target burst damage extremely impressive.

For clearing maps, equip Greater Chain and Ancestral Call gems; the chain range can cover more than two screens, making one-click screen clearing. When facing bosses, switch to Increased Critical Damage and Damage on Full Life to maximize single-target damage output.

Defensive System

Immunity to Three Types of Damage

The most ingenious aspect of this build is its complete immunity to cold and lightning damage. The implementation is as follows:

1. Sublime Vision: This unique Uber Shaper jewel grants 30% of cold and lightning damage dealt as fire damage when affected by Purity of Fire. It also disables all auras except Purity of Fire.
2. Watcher's Eye: Grants 20% of cold and lightning damage dealt as fire damage when affected by Purity of Fire.
3. Lethal Pride: This timeless jewel converts core talents within its range into Tempered by War, granting 50% of cold and lightning damage dealt as fire damage.

The three combined achieve 100% conversion of cold and lightning damage to fire damage. Since this build also includes Chaos Inoculation keystone, the character is completely immune to chaos damage. Therefore, all cold, lightning, and chaos damage from enemies is ignored; only fire resistance and physical damage reduction need to be stacked.

Resistance and Ailment Immunity

Fire Resistance: 90%

Use Purity of Fire aura to increase the maximum fire resistance. Combined with Sublime Vision, the aura's effect on the user is significantly enhanced, allowing the maximum fire resistance to be stacked to 90%. This is a very representative combination in the high-end defense system of Path of Exile.

Ailment Immunity

Use Mageblood to keep fixed-effect flasks active. One flask provides shock avoidance, and with the added benefit of Mageblood, shock avoidance is stacked to 100%.

Skill Configuration

The core damage skill is Static Strike of Gathering Lightning.

• Map Clearing Six-Link: Static Strike of Gathering Lightning + Ancestral Call + Greater Chain + Volatility + Increased Critical Damage + Damage on Full Life
• Single Target Six-Link: Remove Ancestral Call and Greater Chain, replacing them with single-target damage-boosting support. However, due to the high overall damage, even with a map clearing configuration, most bosses in PoE can be quickly killed in actual combat.

Gear Selection and Affix Priority

For gear selection, this build employs an extremely high-cost approach, but each piece serves a clear purpose. For players planning to try this build, it's essential to have sufficient PoE currency beforehand, as some of the modifiers have very high crafting costs.

• Weapons: Dual-wielding Fractured Thought and Motion - Prioritize Intelligence, increased Intelligence, and core affixes like added lightning damage per 10 dexterity;
• Boots: Stormrider Boots - Focus on added lightning damage per 200 accuracy rating, while also prioritizing Intelligence, increased Intelligence, Tailwind, and Elusive;
