Battle Guide for the Infinite Hunger Boss in Path of Exile

Mar 08, 2022

The battle with infinite hunger Boss just like any other boss fight. But relative to other bosses the infinite hunger attack is very readable and usually easy to dodge. But it didn't take long before the silt on the edge of the arena began to approach. You can hold on to the high ground for a while, but eventually, you'll be overcome and drowned in the silt. At this point, you'll land on an island in that filthy river of mud. Smaller monsters will continue to spawn and attack.

During this time, a debuff will continue to stack, reducing your armor and evasion for the remainder of the fight. There's a portal back to the main arena hidden in the river, but if you wander aimlessly, this debuff stacks up to deadly levels. Thankfully, there's a trick to this. Look closely at the silt river to see which direction it flows. Most of them don't move, but some move. Wherever you go in this area, the sludge will flow to the entrance. Follow the flow from island to island and you'll be right back in the fight. You can walk through the silt, but it will seriously slow down your character. It is highly recommended that you bring Flame Rush into this fight. Any movement skill will help, but Flame Rush's instant teleportation will get you from island to island faster. Even non-casters are worth investing in a level 1 Flame Rush in most boss fights. The rest of the fight is fairly easy.

Infinite Hunger attacks don't become particularly dangerous unless you make this debuff stack very high. You can also skip the drowning phase directly by killing him before the drowning begins. High DPS builds can make this fight trivial. Like the Searing Archbishop, all you need to do to get to the Eater of Worlds is to follow the endgame quest steps for Kirac and the Envoy. Advance in Atlas, defeat the Infinite Hunger, then run tier 13, 14, 1,5 and 16 maps under the influence of The Eater to earn your invitation. Defeat this story version of the boss to grab the Void Stone, which will level up all maps in your Atlas. You can also earn another invite by completing 24 maps with The Eater influence level 14+. Remember, the second repeatable version of the fight is tougher. This Eater of Worlds will have more health and higher damage, especially if you roll extra modifiers on invites. That's all you need to avoid being devoured by the Eater of Worlds! Like most new Atlas Siege battles, this one is easy to handle once you understand the arena mechanics.
