Path Of Exile 3.26 Secrets Of The Atlas Has Made A Major Improvement To Crafting System! - New & Changed

Jun 10, 2025 Author: POECurrency.com

After the live hosted by the developers to introduce the new content contained in Path of Exile 3.26 Secrets of the Atlas, players are getting more and more excited about the arrival of this long-awaited new league, because some changes it has will greatly improve the game experience that players can get.

For example, the crafting mechanism. In all previous leagues, the crafting system can be said to be one of the most important game mechanisms in POE, because it allows all players to make a piece of gear that can be used to increase their own combat or defensive capabilities through some efforts, so as to explore more freely.

In Secrets of the Atlas, the developers have made comprehensive improvements to the crafting system, including the introduction of some new crafting mechanisms and improvements to some existing mechanisms, which will help you find Zana in Atlas more easily and complete all the campaigns in the game.

Path Of Exile 3.26 Secrets Of The Atlas Has Made A Major Improvement To Crafting System! - New & Changed

In order to let all exiles master it faster, here will be an in-depth discussion of the new crafting system in POE 3.26. However, it should be noted that since there is still some time before its official release, some properties or statistics introduced in it may change. Everything is subject to the official release.

New

In this League update, the developers have added two new crafting mechanics for players - Memory Strands and a new pinnacle crafting currency. Here are their specific effects.

Memory Strands

This new crafting mechanic is currently the highlight of PoE 3.26. You can find Memory Strands on the item description of high-tier loot picked up in Memory-influenced maps, and the value it has will affect the quality of the item after Scroll of Wisdom, up to 100.

Although the value of Memory Strands on the item is completely random, you can replace or add modifiers to it by applying POE Chaos Orb or Exalted Orb to make it more likely to generate a higher quality random affix for the item.

POE Memory Strands

However, it should be noted here that Memory Strands cannot be used in other non-currency crafting methods, such as fossils or crafting benches.

Pinnacle Crafting Currency

Thanks to Zana, PoE 3.26 adds three new Pinnacle Bosses - The Incarnation of Dread, Neglect and Fear - who drop new loot with unique effects, such as Starcaller Axe, as well as some new exclusive crafting currencies:

  • Orb of Remembrance: You can add random memory strands to normal items, or add memory strands to non-Memory-influenced Items.
  • Orb of Unravelling: Consumes all remaining Memory Strands on an item to upgrade a random affix to a higher level.
  • Orb of Intention: Adds an enchantment to Memory-influenced maps to reduce drop chances and increase the number of loot strands contained within the map.

Changes

In addition to the new crafting mechanics above, the developers have also improved existing systems in the game, such as Betrayal, Recombinator, and Syndicate crafting bench. Next, here will introduce them one by one.

Betrayal

In POE 3.26 Secrets of the Atlas, Betrayal league mechanic, which has existed for more than 10 years, has undergone a major change: Veiled modifiers that were previously unique to it will no longer be obtained through uncovering items.

Now, they have become the core of the current game. When you find some Veiled Items in a boss encounter or some endgame maps, you can right-click at any time to open Unveil screen, which greatly facilitates the player’s exploration process.

Buy POE 3.26 Currency At POECurrency.com

Betrayal changes bring back Veiled Chaos Orb to the game, which can allow you to reforge rare items with random modifiers and add Veiled Modifier to them.

However, in the current game content, it has been renamed Veiled Exalted Orb, and its effectiveness has changed a bit: it can remove a random modifier from an item and add a Veiled modifier to it.

Recombinator

Introduced in 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur league, Recombinator was very popular with players when it was first launched because it allowed you to combine two non-unique items with the same base into an item with a random combination of modifiers.

However, due to the randomness of the modifiers that are included in the final items, many players have received completely useless or extremely bad modifiers after handing in some items, which has caused a lot of complaints.

So in this update, the developers have added an option for players to choose their desired modifiers to make this random event a fixed event that players can create.

Syndicate Crafting Bench

In previous game content, completing the raid of Syndicate safehouses and spending POE currency awarded to you to craft high-quality gear was a favorite among players. Previously, players only received crafting materials and currency, but now, the crafting bench will also have pre-generated craftable items and other rewards.

Above are some of the new additions and production changes that the developers have brought to players with Path of Exile 3.26 Secrets of the Atlas. In fact, judging from the live and update notes held by the developers, this new league must be a carnival for new and old exiles, and everyone can feel the sincerity and repentance of the developers in it. I wish you a happy game!

Is Farming Expedition Logbooks Profitable In Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0?
Is Farming Expedition Logbooks Profitable In Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0?

At the start of every league update, besides the new core mechanics and class builds, one of the hottest topics in the community is currency farming, and Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict is no exception.

Here, we'd like to discuss one of my favorite money-making strategies: farming Expedition Logbooks. I truly believe that Logbooks are a hidden gem in the current PoE economy.

Farming Expedition Logbooks

In PoE 2, Expedition Logbooks are part of Expedition endgame mechanic and are used to access Olroth, Origin of the Fall Pinnacle boss.

Of course, like key materials required to access other Pinnacle bosses, these Logbooks are extremely rare, and therefore naturally command high prices on trading sites.

Logbooks at level 80 and above alone cost 10-15 PoE 2 Exalted Orbs each. And you can earn double that, or even more, by exploring each Expedition Logbook.

So, if you spend 4-5 minutes on each mission, you might get 6-10 Divine Orbs. This assumes no bonus drops while farming, but you'll actually get plenty of extra loot along the way.

So, I'd say this strategy can earn you 6-12 Divine Orbs per hour, depending on RNG. That's the beauty of Logbook farming, and you can also control the difficulty; it's entirely up to you. So, let's get started.

Expedition Changes In Patch 0.3.0

First, let's talk about some of the changes to Expedition endgame made in the recent Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0.

The Third Edict update brings significant balance changes to Expedition system in Atlas. Detailed Records Notable Passive Skill in Atlas Skill Tree now provides +1 to the level of Expedition Logbooks and always grants 4 implicit modifiers (instead of 3). However, Runic Monsters on the map no longer grant a 30% bonus to the number of Logbooks.

This is part of a larger update that includes new endgame content and a completely reworked Atlas Skill Tree. Breach, Ritual, Delirium, and Expedition nodes now grant their first two passive points more quickly, replacing the previous requirement of defeating Pinnacle Boss. As a result, farming Logbooks is now significantly easier.

Logbook Modifiers

In addition, a number of nice modifiers have been added to Expedition Logbook, including an increased number of explosives, explosive radius, explosive placement range, and more. Remember, any modifier related to explosives is good, meaning you'll have a better chance of getting more extra loot while farming Logbooks.

PoE 2 Logbook Modifiers are key to altering the difficulty and loot quality of Expedition encounters. Therefore, prioritizing beneficial modifiers and avoiding build-breaking ones is crucial to maximize rewards and keep encounters manageable.

How To Obtain Expedition Logbooks?

Logbooks are rare drops exclusively from Runic Monsters in PoE 2 Expedition. While Runic Monsters spawn from red flagpoles, Excavated Chests spawn from black flags. These chests are filled with valuable loot, including artifacts and logbooks. You can use modifiers to detonate Remnants, increasing the quantity and rarity of loot in chests.

Note that there are a limited number of detonators, so you can't blow everything up at once; you need to make your choices. If you're looking to acquire artifacts, prioritize black flags. However, if you're focused on farming Expedition Logbooks to earn PoE 2 currency, don't hesitate to detonate red flag poles!

Please note that the level of these dropped Expedition Logbooks depends on the region level of the map they are located in. So, if you use a Tier 10 Waystone in an Expedition, it will only drop a Level 74 Logbook, but if you use a Tier 15 Waystone, you'll get a Level 79 Logbook.

If an Expedition map has Corrupted or Irradiated modifier, its region level will automatically increase by +1 or +2. In this case, you can use a Tier 13 or 14 Waystone to achieve the same effect.

Most Profitable Expedition Locations

Besides being highly profitable on their own, these Logbooks can also be opened with NPC Dannig to unlock unique Expedition Challenges and loot opportunities.

Dannig displays a list of potential Expedition locations and asks you to select one to begin an Expedition encounter on the current map. Farming in the following regions can yield significant additional rewards: Barren Atoll, Frigid Bluffs, and Lush Isle.

First, Barren Atoll is unique in that it grants you a ton of Strongboxes and a ton of gold. So, if you're low on gold, find this area in Expedition Logbook and you'll earn 500,000 gold in just 20 minutes!

The unique thing about Frigid Bluffs area is that the bosses there don't scale as the map difficulty increases. So, while you might easily kill a Frigid Bluffs map boss in one blow, the amount and rarity of the loot they drop will still increase significantly. Personally, after just a few runs, I easily got tons of Divine Orbs, level 20 Skill Gems, Perfect Jeweler's Orbs, and more from them.

But the area you really want to target is Lush Isle. This is a special type of Expedition Logbook. When you run it, it opens a portal to a large Expedition area on Lush Isle map. This area is known for its high monster count and rich loot. Most importantly, you'll also find Strongboxes, which contain a large amount of PoE 2 currency, both in high rarity and high quantity.

In short, your Expedition Logbook has a lot of potentially valuable hidden bonuses.

Finally, in addition to these dropped Expedition Logbooks, we also earned 4 Divines by selling items obtained from farming Expedition locations in Logbook. So, if you're willing to take the time to evaluate the items, you might even get more out of this than from selling Logbook itself!

How To Defeat Torvian Boss And Unlock The Excavation In Path Of Exile 2 The Third Edict Act 4?
How To Defeat Torvian Boss And Unlock The Excavation In Path Of Exile 2 The Third Edict Act 4?

Exiles, how are you progressing in Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict? Have you completed Act 4 campaign? As you progress through Act 4, you've undoubtedly encountered quite a few tough boss encounters. Did you defeat them easily? If not, that's where this guide comes in!

The main boss we'll be covering here is Torvian, Hand of the Savior, one of the enemies you'll definitely encounter in Act 4. You must defeat him at the entrance to The Excavation to progress through the main storyline.

Location

Torvian boss is located on the island of Arastas, just before The Excavation. Simply explore the island to find the boss arena.

It's also worth noting that while exploring the map, keep an eye out for bells around the map; there's a chance you'll find some free Path of Exile 2 Exalted Orbs there.

Boss Battle

To defeat Torvian, Hand of the Savior, you must block the three Priests surrounding her. They continuously cast spells that aid Torvian in battle. If you don't deal with these Priests first, Torvian will continuously gain powerful buffs, making him nearly impossible to kill during the fight.

Aside from this key mechanic, the rest of the fight is fairly straightforward, so let's cover the basics of the Torvian boss and all the mechanics you might need to know before taking on him.

Upon entering the arena, you'll notice three Priests surrounding the arena to the east, west, and north. Each Priest represents a specific spell:

  • To the west of the arena is a hammer icon
  • To the north of the arena is a pair of swords icon
  • To the east of the arena is a shield icon

You can check if any buffs are active by looking for a gold icon below the boss's health bar.

If all three buffs are active, Torvian becomes invincible. Therefore, your priority is to avoid allowing the boss to receive any buffs at all costs.

The strategy is simple: you need to block, or more precisely, interrupt, Torvian's spell-casting by having him throw rocks at the caster. This means you need to target Priest with one of Torvian's attacks.

To do this, wait for Torvian to slam his dual axes into the ground. When you see this happen, immediately stand below the tower where the spell or Priest is located, as Torvian will pick up a large rock and throw it at you. If you dodge in time, the rock will hit the tower and knock the Priest off balance, forcing him to stop casting his spell.

Also, note that you don't need to wait for a spell to be cast to interrupt Priest; you can simply stand next to the tower and let Torvian throw the rock to prevent him from casting his spell.

Phase 1

This battle has two phases. In the first phase, Torvian, Hand of the Savior will attack you with his basic attacks, followed shortly by the Priest's first spell.

Following the strategy we mentioned above, when there are no spells active, attack him and try not to prevent the damage from stacking, otherwise you will have to deal with a long battle that will be a great test of your survivability.

When Torvian is buffed, his attacks deal physical and fire damage. Therefore, before starting the fight, it's recommended to prioritize investing PoE 2 currency in increasing your armor and physical or fire damage resistance to avoid being fatally hit by the boss.

Also, be aware of the boss's special attack, which causes a golden circle to appear on the ground and explode. Standing in this area almost certainly means death. Even if you happen to survive, you'll be vulnerable to slowing or freezing effects, making you an easy target for his other attacks. So, avoid the golden circle.

Don't worry if your life and mana flasks run out during this process. Just be patient, dodge incoming attacks, and stack the damage, and you still have a chance to defeat Torvian!

Phase 2

From here, we simply need to continue dealing damage to him. When Torvian's health reaches approximately 25%, the final phase begins, and you'll hear the main priest say, "Do not falter!"

What happens here is that the other two priests join forces, or more specifically, the priest on the western side of the fortified arena. With this newfound power, he'll unleash a massive tornado of light. While slow-moving, it's incredibly powerful, so be careful to avoid it.

At the same time, the other two priests' spells will begin to appear randomly, and this time you can't block them. This means it's time to deal as much damage as possible and completely defeat Torvian.

The only spell you need to watch out for is still the golden circle that appears on the ground, but this time it covers a larger area. Otherwise, dodge the tornado of light and attack the boss until he's dead.

When you land a critical hit on Torvian, the three priests will also die. In short, they die together, and the entrance to The Excavation opens.

In short, Torvian, Hand of the Savior is a very challenging dynamic boss encounter added in POE 2 Patch 0.3.0 Act 4. While defeating him won't drop any extra gear or items, this novel boss system definitely won't disappoint!

How To Defeat The Final Boss In Path Of Exile 2 Act 4 Whakapanu Island? - Diamora, Song Of Death Boss Guide
How To Defeat The Final Boss In Path Of Exile 2 Act 4 Whakapanu Island? - Diamora, Song Of Death Boss Guide

Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0 introduces new Act 4 content, expanding the existing storyline and adding several new bosses, adding even more challenges to your exploration of Wraeclast.

Diamora, Song of Death is the final enemy you'll encounter in Act 4, Whakapanu Island, in The Third Edict update. This challenging boss, lurking in Singing Caverns, possesses a multitude of frustrating mechanics that require near-constant movement, making it easy to feel overwhelmed if you're not prepared.

Here, we'll show you how to defeat Diamora, Song of Death and unlock Shoreline Hideout. Let's take a look!

Diamora, Song Of Death Location

To find Diamora, you must first advance the campaign to Act 4, travel to Whakapanu Island, and find the entrance to Singing Caverns.

Completing Hostile Takeover Quest

However, before unlocking it, I recommend completing Hostile Takeover quest. You'll need to speak with Ange, NPC near Kingsmarch's Wharf, until Hostile Takeover quest unlocks. This quest will require you to find a suitable location to establish a hideout.

Next, you'll need to speak with Makoru to obtain a boat to officially begin your journey in Act 4. Once you've completed this, you can travel to Whakapanu Island.

Exploring Whakapanu Island

Be aware that Whakapanu Island is huge! You'll find the entrance to Singing Caverns on the other side of the checkpoint. You'll need to defeat enemies along the way to reach it, but PoE 2 currency and equipment these monsters drop may be useful for your subsequent exploration.

Along the way, if you're interested in the legend of Diamora, Song of Death, you can also interact with the two Karui Carvings on Whakapanu Island, which will tell you more about the missing people who arrived on the island.

Entering Singing Caverns

Once you reach Singing Caverns, activate the waypoints and cross to the other side until you reach Chamber of Echoes.

Once you enter Chamber of Echoes, you'll find Diamora. She initially appears as a beautiful mermaid, but don't let your guard down, as once she transforms into a monster, the battle begins.

The first thing you need to know is that this fight will be very long and difficult. This is because Diamora will temporarily disappear from the arena, jumping between pools of water.

During her absence, your damage is interrupted, meaning you'll need to restart your damage stacks, and she'll also regenerate her shields. This unavoidable and frequent occurrence means you only have a few seconds to deal damage to her. You'll need to repeat this cycle over and over again, so patience is crucial.

Diamora Boss Fight

Now that we know Diamora's location and the key to defeating her, let's take a look at her specific attacks during each phase.

Phase 1

During the first phase of this fight, Diamora will launch six attacks at you.

The first attack occurs when she says, "Suffer... together" or "Admire me." Three jets of water will erupt from the ground. If they come into contact with you, you'll be frozen. To avoid this attack, you'll need to walk or dodge three times.

The second attack occurs when she says, "Join my eternal admirers!" or "If I can't have you... the sea will." At this point, two waves will collide. To avoid this attack, simply move away from them.

Her third attack involves her jumping between two bodies of water. Each time she does this, your damage will be interrupted. As she jumps, four fountains of water will appear below her. Coming into contact with them will also freeze you.

Her fourth attack occurs when you're far away from her. She'll randomly spray a stream of water at you. Be vigilant and dodge in time.

Her fifth attack, also from a distance, involves her screaming at you. Simply move away to avoid both attacks.

Her sixth attack involves her saying, "Drown... drown!", followed by a rapid-fire orb of water. If you remain inside it, you'll drown within seconds and die instantly. So, run away when you see it.

Phase 2

Next, the second phase of the fight begins once Diamora's health is down to around 50%.

At this point, Diamora will move to the center of the arena and cast Petrifying Gaze. Looking at her will obviously petrify you, so avoid looking at her or, ideally, stay out of the area.

When she casts Petrifying Gaze, her minions will appear, providing an excellent opportunity to replenish your health and mana by killing them, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity.

However, beware: as the gaze continues, more minions will spawn. You'll need to kill them quickly, or you'll be easily overwhelmed.

Phase 3

Once you've killed all the minions, Phase 3 officially begins. Don't worry, though, as you'll only face the same boss attacks as Phase 1.

Phase 4

Phase 4 triggers when Diamora's health is reduced to 25%, marking her final use of Petrifying Gaze.

During this period, new minions will spawn, as well as slow-moving water spheres that can drown you. So, while surviving and killing minions, keep an eye out for the spheres and avoid them.

Phase 5

After this, the final phase will trigger. During this phase, the boss will use all of the aforementioned attacks at will, but at a faster rate.

In addition, when she jumps between pools of water, five fountains will appear instead of four, essentially forming a wall. More importantly, the spheres are now continuous, so keep moving and don't get desperate.

If needed, you can pause, slow down, and catch your breath. Remember, this battle will still test your patience. Once you kill her, Diamora will turn to stone.

Unlocking The Shoreline Hideout

Once you kill Diamora, The Hooded One and Doryani will appear, but most importantly, you'll be prompted to return to Ange.

Completing the conversation will update Search quest, and you'll be transported back to Kingsmarch to find Ange. After speaking with Ange, you can proceed to Shoreline Hideout.

Once you arrive at Hideout, Ange will ask you to eliminate the invaders. After eliminating all enemies, return to Ange and continue the conversation until you receive a prompt to switch to the Shoreline Hideout, meaning you've successfully navigated it!

Shoreline Hideout is a safe location available in PoE 2 Act 4, where you can rest, manage your items, and interact with other characters. So, does this mean it's worth taking on the tough boss Diamora, Song of Death? Give it a try!

How To Earn Tons Of Currency By Farming Trial Of Chaos In Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0?
How To Earn Tons Of Currency By Farming Trial Of Chaos In Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0?

Exiles, I'm sure everyone loves the shiny new currency in the game, and you'd love to always have your stash filled with rare orbs and loot, right? If your goal is to maximize your wealth, then the methods here should be helpful.

Here, we'll share a profitable currency farming strategy: running Trial of Chaos. This strategy is actually quite old, but thanks to the changes and adjustments in Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0, this farming method isn't outdated, but rather more efficient.

We know you might be interested in the new Rise of the Abyssal league mechanics, but is it truly a better farming option?

On the surface, you'll earn a few different PoE 2 currencies while exploring Abyssal fissures, and beyond that, more item drops like Precursor Tablet, which can sometimes fetch a decent price, but it all depends on your server and the returns are extremely volatile.

However, you'll be battling more bosses in Trial of Chaos. Trial bosses drop more currency and weapons than Abyssal monsters. More importantly, your chances of obtaining PoE 2 Divine Orbs in Chaos Trial are significantly higher, especially if you utilize some of the secret strategies we've shared.

Running Trial Of Chaos

Now, let's teleport directly to Temple of Chaos and start farming.

Overall, the best thing about this farming method is that it has virtually no prerequisites. You just need to make sure your character is strong enough to defeat the boss.

While Trial of Chaos bosses can sometimes be quite difficult, they're actually more or less tailored to each character's needs. Because this is an Ascendancy Trials, the developers want you to actually defeat these bosses so you can earn the passive skill points.

Before entering a room, remember that your primary goal is always to farm POE 2 orbs, not the gear drops, as you can actually obtain them from the market, and they're now typically sold for 1 Exalted Orb.

Choosing Debuffs

The entire gameplay loop is pretty straightforward. You'll enter a room with some sort of quest, usually just killing all the monsters or surviving for a short period of time. Then you'll approach the next room, which only has debuffs, and you'll need to choose one. As you progress through the trial, the debuffs stack.

If you feel like the random number generator (RNG) penalties are working against you, you can probably quit the trial.

Completing The Room Encounters

But here are a few tips to help you survive and get through all of these rooms more easily.

When you see a bunch of enemies on the mini-map, it means you need to thoroughly clear the room and defeat all of them. There's a large monument in the center of the room. Simply touch it, and you have 1 minute and 30 seconds to survive.

The rooms you encounter are largely randomized, so none of us knows what's coming next. Each room presents unique challenges, such as fighting monsters or avoiding traps, that test your skills and reward you.

We'll focus on one here: the room with Stone Altars. If you choose the wrong bonuses, it can be quite tricky.

In this room, you essentially need to find Vaal Soul Cores, quickly return to Stone Altar, and then place it inside the altar, which takes a lot of time.

If you're unlucky, this will probably disrupt the animation, forcing you to press the stone again. After a few seconds, you'll start losing energy shield and health, even just by running or standing still. So, you need to be quick.

If you're playing with a more basic build like me, you can simply run around the three corners and find your way around. But sometimes you'll need to solve minor puzzles, and running around in these rooms can often take up the majority of your time.

Defeating The Boss

Every three rooms, you'll find a place to replenish your flasks, and you'll receive the only core reward for that type of room. This means you'll need to defeat the boss three times.

However, the bosses are always the same for each player; the order in which they appear may vary. One of them is Bahlak, the bird guarding the entrance to Trial of Chaos. It's a powerful boss with a particularly annoying moveset that can actually deal a lot of damage.

After defeating the final boss, we'll receive Victorious Fate, one of the most important rewards for us, and it's guaranteed.

There are actually three different Fates: Cowardly, Deadly, and Victorious. This doesn't really matter, however, as they changed in patch 0.3.0. Previously, they were random, but now we know exactly which Fate we'll receive, so they all cost about the same on the market.

Finally, after interacting with the final monument, we'll receive all the rewards.

Loot

But let's see what we get after a single run. First, we get a POE 2 Divine Orb, but that was more or less a matter of luck. Besides that, there's a lot of new currency dropping here, which I'll be exchanging for Exalted and Chaos Orbs.

At the same time, we'll be getting a lot of gear, but unfortunately, all of it will be damaged and underperforming. Therefore, dismantling it to get a bunch of Artificer's Orbs and Armorer's Scrap is the best option. These are important materials for upgrading gear, and they currently sell for quite a few Exalted Orbs.

In short, the advantage of farming Trial of Chaos is that you require very little preparation beyond bringing along a powerful boss-killer build. The trial is infinitely replayable, and each run offers a different combination of modifiers and reward paths, making it a replayable and rewarding way to farm currency! Take the time to give it a try!
